Day 1: Barcelona, Spain.
Bienvenido! Time to relax or to begin exploring Spain’s second-largest city and the capital of Catalonia. Your Local Host provides you with a Destination Guide, full of useful city information, and is on hand to help you create lasting memories.
Day 2: Barcelona.
Morning guided sightseeing and orientation includes a drive along elegant Passeig de Gracia. See Gaudi’s Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, Plaza Lesseps, and the Gracia district. Then, visit PARK GÜELL and the extraordinary, but still unfinished, SAGRADA FAMILIA BASILICA. Your included entrance fees contribute to its completion. (B)
Day 3: Barcelona.
A full day to enjoy this splendid city at your own pace. (B)
Day 4: Barcelona–Madrid.
This morning, travel by high-speed AVE TRAIN (first-class) to Madrid, arriving at your hotel in the mid-afternoon. (B)
Day 5: Madrid.
Morning guided sightseeing and orientation features a visit to the palatial PRADO MUSEUM to admire one of the world’s finest collections of European art. Also see the Plaza de España, Parliament, Cibeles Fountain, Orient Square with the ornate Royal Palace, Retiro Park, and Puerta de Alcala. (B)
Day 6: Madrid.
Full day at leisure; maybe journey out of town to admire Seville’s historic heritage. (B)
