   Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Boston.
Pick up your car and start exploring or proceed to your hotel.

Day 2 Boston.
An entire day to enjoy the wonders of Boston. Visit Paul Revere’s House, the USS Constitution, Boston Common, and more. Perhaps visit the Skywalk Observatory at the Prudential Center where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and interactive exhibits on Boston’s history from the tallest and only observatory in New England. For a perfect end to the day consider a cruise on Boston Harbor.

Day 3 Boston–Cape Cod.
Continue your journey by making your way to Cape Cod. Perhaps take a ferry across Nantucket Sound to Nantucket Island. Here, enjoy the stunning 17th-century architecture, boutiques, art galleries, and museums. Catch a breeze on a sailboat, sign on for a seal-watching cruise, or rent a bike—a great way to discover the island on your own. Take the ferry back to the mainland in the late afternoon. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 70 Miles

Day 4 Cape Cod.
The entire day is yours to relax and/or explore. Don’t miss the Cape Cod National Seashore, featuring more than 43,000 acres. Enjoy the forty-mile stretch of pristine beach, nature trails, lighthouses, and scenic overlooks. There are also a variety of picnic areas, so pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it along the way. Take a walk on the beach, or better yet, take a dip in the ocean!

Day 5 Cape Cod–Newport.
Head south for Newport, Rhode Island. This beautiful port town was founded in 1639. Today, Newport is known for its picturesque scenery and history. Enjoy a walk around the Newport waterfront area, learn about the town at the Museum of Newport History, and enjoy the many boutiques, antique shops, and restaurants. Nearby you can also visit St. Mary’s Church where President Kennedy was married. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 77 Miles

Day 6 Newport.
The entire day is at your leisure. Perhaps take the scenic 10-Mile Drive where you can visit one of the many historic mansions in the area displaying elegant architecture, interior design, and landscaping. Astor’s Beechwood Mansion, Belcourt Castle, and The Breakers are highlights. While at The Breakers, enjoy easy access to the spectacular “Cliff Walk.” Take a break and absorb the diverse scenery along this public access walk on the eastern shore of Newport. Here, you will experience the great architecture of Newport’s gilded age mixed with the beauty of the shoreline, wildflowers, and birdlife.

Day 7 Newport–Boston.
Return to Boston and drop off your car prior to departure. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 72 Miles
