Day 1 Los Angeles. Arrival in Los Angeles. Pick up your car and start exploring or proceed to your hotel.
Day 2 Los Angeles–Las Vegas. Today, head east for Las Vegas, the gambling and entertainment capital of the world. This evening, enjoy one of the famous Las Vegas shows or try your luck at gambling. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 280 miles
Day 3 Las Vegas. The entire day is yours to explore what Las Vegas has to offer. Relax by the pool, visit Hoover Dam, or drive to beautiful Red Rock Canyon. The more adventurous may choose to take a rafting trip in the Black Canyon or an exciting helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. This evening, make sure to visit Fremont Street to see the spectacular display of lights.
Day 4 Las Vegas–Death Valley National Park. Today, head west for Death Valley National Park, the largest National Park in the contiguous United States. Boasting the lowest, driest, and hottest location in the Western Hemisphere, Death Valley is one of the world´s harshest climates. Despite this, the area is home to more than 1,000 different plant types. Make sure to stop at Zabriskie Point for a beautiful view of the valley. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 144 Miles
Day 5 Death Valley National Park–Yosemite National Park. Continue north to Yosemite National Park, a stunning expanse of mountains and valleys in the Sierra Nevada. One of the first wilderness parks in the United States, Yosemite shelters a magnificent compilation of waterfalls, mountain meadows, and forests. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 360 miles
Day 6 Yosemite National Park. A full day at leisure to explore Yosemite National Park. Highlights include Half Dome and Yosemite Valley, where you can see Yosemite Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Opposite Bridal Veil Falls is El Capitan. Rising some 3,000 feet above the valley floor, it is the largest granite monolith in the world. This is a great opportunity to take a hike and enjoy the great outdoors!
Day 7 Yosemite National Park–San Francisco. Head west today for San Francisco. Perhaps take a brief detour and drive through the gold rush towns of Jamestown, Sonora, and Columbia. Then on to the “City by the Bay.” Don’t miss Chinatown and Golden Gate Park. Visit Fisherman’s Wharf and enjoy the local fare. While there, visit Pier 39 and its many shops and restaurants and take a cruise on San Francisco bay with magnificent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. APPROXIMATE DRIVING DISTANCE: 186 miles
